Fibre Network
Kored has built over 1600 km of optical fibre backbone network for leading telcos including Vodafone, Bharti Teleservices, Tata Teleservices and Idea Cellular. The team has experience in working on challenging terrains ranging from hilly areas to coastal regions.
We have extensive capabilities in laying OFC cables including trenching and excavations, ducting, cable laying, auguring, and directional drilling. We use standard operating procedures and advanced equipment to achieve optimal efficiencies in different topologies.
We also provide operations and maintenance services for fibre networks and Main Switch Control (MSC) systems. So far, we maintained over 2100 km of fibre backbone networks and maintained 8 MSCs. Our operations and maintenance services include:
- Preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance
- Daily patrolling to prevent cable disruptions
- OFC splicing and termination
- Fault identification and rectification
Construction
Kored has built advanced capabilities in laying optical fibre cablesfrom working on several projects over the years. We adhere to all construction specifications based on the landscape and terrain. Broadly, we carry out the following activities:
- Excavation of trenches
- Laying of PLB pipes/coils
- Providing mechanical protection by using RCC pipes/GI pipes and concreting
- Back filling and dressing excavated trenches
- Pulling of cables in manholes and dressing them
- Construction of jointing chambers
- Fixing route and joint indicators
Operations and Maintenance
In addition to construction, Kored offers reliable optical fibre cable network maintenance services. We are respected for our focus on quality and responsiveness. Our maintenance activities include:
- Prevention of cable disruption by close monitoring of OFC routes
- Testing for block sections in fibres
- Patrolling optical equipment and repeater stations
- Splicing and termination of OFC
- Preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance
